Had the house to myself for a few hours and deciced to attempt hooking up the full speaker setup now knowing it all works from the previous day. The larger coaxial wire however was absolutely not going to work for this -- top view of a reciever with many cables coming off of it ^ This was the result of wiring 2 speakers alone, and due to their weight the slighest touch would disconnect them from either the reciever or the speaker, so I decided to cut the smaller wire into sections instead. It took about an hour or two but I had cut 10 wires of about equal length at around 12ft-ish, and since they were significantly skinnier i was able to braid them into pairs for easier cable management. Next issue was figuring out speaker placement as while I have a pretty large bedroom at around 11x11 ft, half of it was being used by my bed and my trinkets so I threw together a very rushed setup just to see how it sounds. An amount of troubleshooting later and I finally was able to use it, it sounds very odd but good, I can definitely see the appeal of speakers over headphones if noise wasn't an issue, and probably would have sounded better had I a bit more room to work with. photo of my desk with the setup
