It has been quite some time since the last update, I've been incredibly busy as of late and as such this entry will also be somewhat brief. Recently I have started working at an industrial poultry plant, it is less than ideal as I have to make a 1.2 hour commute to work very early in the morning and then back but what can be done. Currently I am a daylabor temp, meaning I am hired day by day with no guarantee of work being available, eventually I will be able to be hired full time however. As a temp, I am basically sent to cover for various positions around the plant daily, often different tasks day to day ranging from "very easy but very boring" to "painful manual labor" typically decided by how early your check in was. Right off the bat this facility seemed significantly more organized than the beef one I worked at previously, immediately evident by the fact that it has actual security check ins before entry is allowed, whereas I am still able to walk into the beef plant as they never asked for my check in card (which still works). What I really like about this plant is 1. all PPE is provided for free including boots 2. everyone must wear color coded bump caps, so its easy for people to see that you are new, as well as for you to see who to ask questions to. Generally the easy work is just standing on a conveyer belt with the line I most often worked at being one where I simply aligned raw chicken strips as they moved along with a few coworkers next to me. The worst job so far has been janitorial, 9 hours carrying
